Captain, Judicial Services Division
Misty Clendenney is the Captain of the Judicial Services Division. She started her law enforcement career in 2000 as a Deputy Sheriff in the Duty Office, she then moved up to the role of Corporal in 2005. She graduated with a B.A. in Criminology from St. Leo University in 2000 and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida in 2006.
Through hard work and dedication, Misty became Sergeant in the Courthouse, and is currently the Captain supervising 29 employees and countless dedicated volunteers within the Judicial Services Division.
Misty is very involved in the community, including being a Rotarian and a past board member of United Way. She does volunteer work for the American Cancer Society and runs for various causes like Jessie’s Place, Citrus County’s Child Advocacy Center, and the Key Training Center. She enjoys spending time with her family -- especially outdoors.
