The Citrus County Fire and Rescue Department was established in 1972. We are a combination career and volunteer
organization providing fire suppression, basic emergency medical, technical rescue, fire prevention and educational
services to more than 145,000 citizens.
Citrus County Fire Rescue's mission is to provide education, fire prevention, preparedness, and response services to the public. This will be accomplished through innovation, team work, and outstanding customer service with the resources provided by the community.
